With his company’s retail enablement software, Ali Asaria helps his customers improve their bottom line, but that doesn’t seem to be the bottom line for him.
Ali is the founder and former CEO of Well.ca, a leading online retailer of health, beauty and baby products. He is also the founder and CEO of Tulip Retail, the leader in mobile solutions that provide product, customer and store information to retail associates. Ali recently announced that he would turn over 80% of his shares in Tulip to a trust controlled by the company’s employees should it be sold or do an IPO.
Asaria attended the University of Waterloo, where he studied Computer Engineering. He also worked at BlackBerry in various roles and was best known for making BrickBreaker, one of the most popular mobile games of its time.
