Mary Pat Hinton knows that weaving together unique perspectives results in effective, multi-faceted, and beautiful solutions to the world’s most challenging problems. As CEO and co-founder of Emmetros Limited, a company dedicated to making it easier for people with cognitive impairments to live with independence and dignity, Mary Pat has woven her lifelong volunteerism and advocacy into the culture at Emmetros.
In her youth she visited with people living in long-term care and later she volunteered in a children’s ICU. She was an elder-abuse case mediator and founder of Friends In Deed, a community group for women who were caregivers to spouses or children living with mental health issues. Mary Pat serves as a Director for the Alzheimer Society of Waterloo Wellington, helps facilitate the Memory Boosters Social Club and is a volunteer advisor for the Ontario Brain Institute.
